OPEN DOOR POLICY: Ingram's Academy has an "open door" policy. We invite you to drop in at any time. Parents are welcome to volunteer at our school.

CURRICULUM: We strive for self-discipline, sharing, concerns for others and a healthy self-image for each child. A broad range of experiences are provided to help prepare preschool children for challenges they will face. Each day children are exposed to developmentally appropriate activities in a variety of areas including fine and gross motor, music, self help, language, thinking, exploration, and dramatic play. Ingram's Academy has chosen A Beka as our curriculum.
FOOD: Ingram's Academy provides all full-time preschool students with a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Breakfast is served at 7:00 am - 8:30 am only. A weekly menu will be posted on the parent information board.
TOYS: Please leave all toys at home with the exception of special occasions such as show & tell day. We cannot replace lost or broken toys. Teachers will notify parents regarding special events.
LOST & FOUND: Please check in our lost & found if an item is missing. Found items will be cleaned out monthly and donated to charity. We cannot replace lost or broken items. Please do not allow your child to bring money or other items of value.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES: Ingram's Academy does not allow birthday parties, however a cake or cupcakes and juice can be served during snack time only. All food and party items such as plates, cups, and spoons must be provided by the parent. All food must be purchased at a local grocery store. The State of Florida prohibits food being brought into the school that has been prepared in the home.
NAPTIME: After lunch, naptime is provided for all preschool students. Parents will need to provide a small rest mat and blanket with your child's name written on it.
LATE PICK-UP: Ingram's Academy opens at 6:30 am and closes at 6:00 pm. Parents who pick up students after closing time will be charged $2.00 per minute, per child. This fee must be paid in cash at pick up or no later than the next morning at drop off. Legal authorities will be contacted after all names listed on the student enrollment form have been called for students left at the school one hour after closing.
RELEASE OF CHILDREN: It is very important that the registering parent indicate on the enrollment form persons authorized to pick up the child. Please notify the front office of any changes in this information immediately. Ingram's Academy assumes no liability if not properly advised. Anyone picking up your child must show proper identification before the child will be released.
DISCIPLINE: Discipline is a very important issue at our school. Spanking is prohibited. Discipline consists of redirection, positive reinforcement, and time out. The responsibility in establishing good discipline rests upon the parents. Please assist us in this area when you are called. Every effort will be made to resolve any problems that may occur. Ingram's Academy reserves the right to ask you to make alternative arrangements for the care of your child.
SCHOOL CANCELLATION: If there is a reason to believe that school may be closed because of weather, please listen to your local television and radio stations. If Seminole or Orange County schools close, we will close also.
PARKING LOT: Please do not park in front of the school. Please pull into the parking spaces so that others can drive in and out to drop off or pick up students.
SCHOOL PICTURES: School pictures are taken once a year. There is no charge at the time of the session, and purchase of the pictures is optional.
NEWSLETTERS: Newsletters are printed quarterly and sent home with your child. Be sure to read it so you will know what is taking place at Ingram's Academy.
FIELD TRIPS: Field trips are planned as part of the school's program. Permission forms must be signed and returned prior to each trip.
EMERGENCY PLANS: Fire drills are held monthly to acquaint your child with evacuation and other procedures. In the event of a natural disaster or emergency situation, students will be evacuated as necessary.

We would like to end by letting you know how much we appreciate the trust you place in us by allowing us to care for your child. It is an important responsibility which we take very seriously, and we are grateful for your support. It is our goal to provide a safe and happy place where children can have fun, learn, and grow in your absence.
All students are required to wear school uniforms that consist of the following:
Boys -- white, blue, purple, or burgundy polo shirt / navy, black, or khaki colored slacks or shorts
Girls -- white, blue, purple, or burgundy polo shirt / navy, black, or khaki colored skirt or pants.
Fridays only -- school t-shirt / navy, black, or khaki colored bottom
JEANS are not allowed. Each student will need one complete change of clothing.
When it is determined that a student's clothing or appearance does not comply with the dress code, a parent or guardian may be asked to bring appropriate clothes to the school, or a student may be sent home.
** Boys are not allowed to wear earrings, hair must be neatly trimmed, and shirts tucked inside their pants at all times.
** Girls are not allowed to wear beads in their hair because of safety concerns.
MEDICAL: All students must have a current Florida Immunization form and a Florida Physical Examination form on file in the school's office by the first day of attendance. Parents must sign a permission form in order for medication to be administered. When medication is brought to Ingram's Academy, it is to be given to a staff member so that it can be stored properly.
ILLNESS: Should your child become ill or suffer an accident while at Ingram's Academy, you will be contacted at once so that your child can be picked up. If we are unable to reach a parent or a guardian, Ingram's Academy shall authorize medical attention and care. Parents shall be responsible for all medical payments. State law does not allow Ingram's Academy to keep a sick child. DO NOT BRING A SICK CHILD TO THE SCHOOL.
COMMUNICABLE DISEASES: All children must have a statement as to recovery from a communicable disease. Symptoms include but do not exclude: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, constant cough, pink eyes, sore throat, and abdominal pain.
Tuition fees are due and payable on Monday, or on your child's first day of school. A $25.00 late fee will be added to accounts after Monday. There are no refunds.
Personal checks, cash, money orders, and cashier's checks are accepted. There will be a $30.00 service charge for all returned checks. Post dated checks are not accepted. Full tuition is due every week regardless of the child's attendance.
All students are required to pay an annual registration fee at the beginning of each school year. Failure to notify the academy regarding two or more consecutive absences can result in your child being withdrawn from the school. A student holiday calendar for the year is available.
